I've Been Tagged!

I’ve been tagged with a meme.

What’s a meme? Think of it as a chain letter for bloggers, yet minus the sure monetary rewards. Someone will do something, write something, list something, or answer some questions on their blog, and then pass it all on to other bloggers so they can do the same. Some bloggers don’t do memes, which keeps those of us gullible enough to do them busy.

Maybe I’ll start a meme of my own someday, but until then I’ll be at the mercy of people like Missmellifluous, who tagged me with this word meme. With this particular meme, I need to give definitions for four provided words, think of four different words for some equally fleeceable folks to fawn over, then tag those folks on their virtual fannies with my far-reaching fiber-optic fingers.

Anyway, here goes.

Ethereal
: of or relating to the reptilian aliens who rule our earth. Andrew looked different—almost ethereal—after his latest abduction. See image 1a.

Jubilate: to show great joy at one’s own activity, despite its obvious negative impact on others. When Andrew stood up to jubilate with yet another impromptu whistling solo, the people in the pews wept bitter tears.

Cossie: an object not worn while skinny-dipping. While listing the many things he wasn’t wearing, Andrew yelled, “Cossie!” and leaped into the pool.

Feign: pretend to be wearing an object not currently being worn. When caught without his cossie on, Andrew feigned to be wearing his entire birthday suit.

And now, my turn to tag. Your mission, should you choose not to ignore me, is to define the following words that may or may not actually exist (I think we can all agree that they should exist if they don’t already):

  1. Stragedy
  2. Nonplussion
  3. Rediculize
  4. Brizaar
I’m going to tag poor Tony and Sierra, since they are the only bloggers I actually know, and because they are both guitar heroes—lending to their credibility, of course. You can join in, too, if you’re not afraid of four little words.

Well done, Andrew! Most entertaining and beautifully illustrated too. I am most intrigued by your choice of 'words' for Tony and Sierra. I think I'll have to come back and see what they make of them.

Thanks for playing!
