Roundabout Ways to A. Stark Place

Here are some searches that led their authors to this blog in the past week.
  • marx end of class distinction. While that might have been Marx's intention, I think history has proven Marx to be wrong. I sure get lots of searches like this, and I hope I have persuaded at least one person that Marxism is bogus by my paper on Marxism.
  • normative relativism tolerance. Searches like this one are probably my most common. My guess is that university students have assignments on this topic due when they make this search, since it seems to appear in spurts. Again, I hope that I have persuaded at least one of these students that tolerance and normative relativism are incompatible, as outlined here and here.
  • Moral Disagreement Today and the Claims of Emotivism by MacIntyre. I talk about Alasdair MacIntyre in the paper on ethical relativism mentioned above. He is a meta-ethical relativist. To say that I find MacIntyre horribly misinformed would be an understatement. He is simply wrong, wrong, wrongitty-wrong, and so is his paper that this person is searching for. You can quote me on that, but I don't know why you would.
  • you're probably crazy. Yes, if you make this search, you're probably crazy.
  • "andrew stark" just for the ladies. Finally, the acknowledgement I deserve. But was this person actually looking for my blog? I have lots of namesakes out there, but I carry the faint hope that this person had me in mind.
