I am happy to announce that I have finally caught my first fish of the season. It was a tiny little trout caught from a boat at Tarfu. I was beginning to think I was cursed. I estimate the total cost of this fish, before taxes, to be about $500 and 1 full grade point.
What is terrible, however, is that there were fish everywhere at Tarfu, and I only got one. My pal Lucas was at least able to get one of a decent size, so maybe I really am cursed.
Tarfu, by the way, is not just a great spot for fishing. We saw several eagles.
And a moose with calf.
I will almost certainly be going back to Tarfu again, and hopefully spend an entire weekend in the area. A word of advice, if you’re going out to this area, bring some bug dope.
