Working on a Volkswagen: Part 2

Unfortunately, much of today was spent running around looking for an 8mm triple-square socket. We did, however, manage to get the old engine out, the distibutor and flywheel swapped to the new engine, the floor thoroughly dirtied, and some good burgers digested. Here we are enioying one of our small victories.

In case you were wondering, my opinion of this car has only mildly improved, since the relatively good condition of the clutch was a lone and minor bright spot.

If all goes well, we’ll finish up Sunday. Tommorrow I go fishing and off-roading, so the Golf will have to wait.
