Thursday Challenge: Which Photo?

Posted on June 6, 2006 at 03:24PM by Registered CommenterAndrew Stark in | Comments6 Comments
I have been submitting one photo each week to the Thursday Challenge. Each week there is a theme, and photographers from around the world submit photos to do with that theme. This coming week it is “Weather (sunny, calm, rainy, icy, fog, clouds, thunderstorm, lightning, hail, wind,…).” Yesterday, I drove most of the way up Mt. MacIntyre in the rain, and then hiked to the summit to see if I could get any good weather photos. I took about 100 photos, however, and I can’t decide which photo to submit. Perhaps you can help me out by telling me which of these photos is best for this theme.

Update: I submitted the third photo. It is true that the first better suits the theme, but I’ve grown to like the third more just the same.

I like them all, but I think I like the top one best.

The foreground in the second one doesn't add that much to the theme, but the third one really draws you in and upward into the space in the clouds.

Maybe I like the bottom one best.

I'm not much help, am I?

The bottom one is the best photo, I think, but the top one is probably better for the theme.

Well, my vote is for the bottom one; I think the clouds are much more dramatic.

I'm glad you picked the bottom one.
