I've Been Tagged: Seven of Seven

Kim tagged me with this meme. I intend to take liberties with this particular meme, firstly because I am without husband and so a list of mushy stuff about a husband that I don’t and shouldn’t have is just silly, and secondly because that’s just the sort of person I am. I will, however, continue the trend of providing seven lists of seven items. Of course, that is what the meme is really about, anyway. I hope.

My friend Matthew, a talented young journalist who calls himself a reporter, once wrote a masterpiece of a list. I present to you this list in its entirety and am counting it as one of my seven. Sorry that his list has nine items, but I thought them all so necessary that I couldn’t find it in myself to delete even one.

      Things Whut I [Matthew] Like
  • euphemisms
  • baths
  • green tea
  • Wal Mart
  • people who write Armenian Proverbs (ie. Armenians)
  • things whut are called extreme, like pit stick, sports and hot sauce
  • sniffing my hands after I’ve worn latex gloves for a while
  • lists
  • otters
With Matthew as my guide, I present my six lists of seven.

Seven Things Whut I (Andrew) Like
  • coffee, ice cream, and any combination thereof
  • the lynx (second only to my pets among animals)
  • losing track of time (just ask my mother)
  • junky old cars, abandoned mines, and any combination thereof
  • panini, or grilled sandwiches if I’m in a pinch
  • things whut are either way too big, or way too small
  • hand cream (we all get dry skin from time to time)
Seven Things Whut I Don’t Get
  • Is a coon’s age a long time?
  • Why do I stink at, as well as after, fishing?
  • Why aren’t plantains more popular than onions?
  • Are you supposed to kick a horse that isn’t dead?
  • Why don’t people say methinks anymore?
  • Why are most of the cool animals extinct? Sabertooth tiger. Need I say more?
  • How is it that tea candles are so inexpensive?
Seven Ways Whut I Address My Cat
  • Leroy (his official name)
  • Larooney
  • Larinskinew or Larinsk for short
  • Larue
  • little buddy
  • a particular whistle whut he knows
  • a particular noise whut I make by resting my upper teeth against my bottom lip and inhaling and whut he also knows
Seven Things Whut I Like More Than I Should
  • the TV show Smallville (It’s conveniently on at 1:30am when I am ripe for procrastination)
  • raw hotdogs
  • Britney Spears
  • The Captain and Tennille (I don’t like them a lot, and yet I like them too much.)
  • Legally Blonde
  • coffee, ice cream, and any combination thereof
  • driving
Seven Words Whut can be Pronounced in Funny Ways
  • Penelope
  • jalopy
  • Oldsmobile
  • adversary
  • prerogative
  • broccoli
  • Larinskinew
Seven Books Whut I Started and Didn’t Finish
  • Lord of the Flies
  • Great Expectations
  • Oliver Twist
  • The Silmarillion
  • The 2005 Time Almanac
  • The Quran
  • Photoshop 5 For Dummies
I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, but the more the merrier when it comes to memes. Maybe, my mother might like to muddle with this meme?

Andrew,

I laughed myself silly this morning while I was reading this! I realized that the meme was goofy, especially for guys, but I had a hunch that if you played it, you would take liberties and make it funny, and you did!

And yes, that is what the meme is really about; lists to help you get to know another person.

Thanks for starting off my moring with a good laugh!

I, too, enjoyed the laugh as well as the introduction to a new blog via Kim.

Oh! I also meant to say: my friends and I are still inclined to use words such as the wonderful methinks in everyday conversation. We also like alas, fare thee well, till anon, and the occasional Pish!. I hope you find this an encouragement!

Till anon, fare thee well.
